RFP - Lawn Care Services

The Alachua County Housing Authority is inviting proposals from qualified Contractors to provide all labor, equipment and materials regarding Lawn Care Service of existing Public Housing neighborhoods in accordance with the Scope of Work.  Procurement packets may be downloaded at the ACHA website at www.acha-fl.com or obtained at the ACHA Business Office located at 703 NE 1st Street, Gainesville, FL 32601.

 

ADDENDUM PUBLISHED 8-17-2020 

PER THE RFP, ALL QUESTIONS WERE TO BE SUBMITTED BY SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, 2020.  THE FOLLOWING ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AND THE RESPECTIVE ANSWERS. 

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE RFP DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2020 AT 12:00 NOON EST. 

THIS ADDENDUM SHALL BE CONSIDERED PART OF THE RFP AND NOTED ON THE "FORM OF PROPOSAL" IN YOUR RFP PACKET AS RECEIVED AND UNDERSTOOD.  ANY UPDATES AND/OR CHANGES NOTED SHALL BE CONSIDERED WHEN COMPLETING YOUR PROPOSAL. 

QUESTION 1: UNDER THE SCOPE OF WORK ITEM B SAYS THAT MOWING WILL OCCUR TWICE A MONTH FROM APRIL TO OCTOBER, ARE WE STICKING WITH THIS OR WILL IT GO TO EVERY WEEK DURING THE GROWING SEASON AND DO YOU WANT ANY LEAF REMOVAL OR MOWING DURING THE SLOW GROWING MONTHS? 

ANSWER 1: UNDER SCOPE OF WORK, B.  ON-GOING MOWING AND TRIMMING SERVICES STARTING ON PAGE 6 OF THE RFP, IT SHOULD BE NOTICED THAT SERVICES FOR THE MONTHS OF NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH ARE MONTHLY.  FURTHER, ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS AS NOTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR REMAIN IN EFFECT. 

WE ARE STICKING TO THE SCHEDULE AS NOTED IN THE RFP.  SHOULD IT BECOME NECESSARY TO MAKE CHANGES, THEN THAT WILL BE ADDRESSED WITH THE CONTRACTOR AT THAT TIME.  HOWEVER, EXPERIENCE HAS SHOWN US THAT THIS SCHEDULE WORKS FOR OUR PROPERTIE.S 

YES, WE WANT LEAF REMOVAL AND MOWING DURING THE SLOW GROWING SEASON. 

QUESTION 2: DURING THE SUMMER WHILE WE HAVE LONGER TIME FRAMES OF DAYLIGHT IS THERE A TIME RESTRICTION ON WHEN WE CAN START AND FINISH DURING THE WEEK? 

ANSWER 2: WE VALUE OUR RESIDENTS AND WANT TO MAKE THEM FEEL COMFORTABLE IN THE RESIDENCES.  LAWN EQUIPMENT CAN BE LOUD.  THEREFORE, WE WILL RESTRICT WORK TO OCCUR DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS AND NO EARLIER THAN 7:00 AM OR LATER THAN 7:00 PM. 

QUESTION 3: THE LOT AT 2315 SW 39TH DR I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE, IT APPEARS THERE IS A WOODED LOT HERE, BUT JUST WANTED CLARIFICATION ON THE ADDRESS AS I WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE IT. 

ANSWER 3: THIS SHOULD BE LISTED AS 2315 SW 39TH WAY AND IS LOCATED IN THE MILL RUN NEIGHBORHOOD.
